HMP Onley

Service delivered in prison
HMP Onley is a Category C training and resettlement prison for men, helping inmates reintegrate into the Greater London area. We provide psychosocial substance misuse services at this prison.

How we help

At HMP Onley we offer a range of psychosocial interventions to help clients address their substance misuse:

  • Stepping Stones – a low-medium intensity intervention for those whose alcohol or drug consumption is at harmful or dependent levels
  • Family service – our family worker sits within treatment teams, helping residents strengthen relationships with family, friends, and wider social networks
  • Workshops and short courses on a variety of different topics including substance awareness, health and wellbeing workshops, social skills, and coping and resilience
  • Release planning including Naloxone training

How to refer

Any prisoner can self-refer to service using the in-cell telephones to call our service. We also accept referrals from third parties. This could include another member of staff within the prison, anyone involved in their care that is based in the community, family members etc. All prisoners are seen as part of their induction
