Katherine Jenkins

Head of Families and Young People

Katherine joined The Forward Trust in May 2021 following the merger with Action on Addiction. She has been in her post as Head of Families and Young People since October 2021 and is passionate about ensuring her department supports the organisation to adopt a ‘think family and relationships’ approach across all levels of service delivery. Her department is focused on the development and delivery of inclusive, trauma informed therapeutic interventions to support children, young people and adults and up-skilling the organisation through the delivery of a specialist internal training programme for staff. Katherine has over 20 years’ experience working in the mental health, addiction, homelessness and higher education sectors. She has a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology and Criminology and an MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology. She has a level three teaching qualification and is a Prince2 project management practitioner. She is also a member of the British Psychological Society and the Addiction and Family International Network (AFINET) and directed an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Bath in Addictions Counselling, for 7 years.
