ReNew

Service delivered in the community
ReNew helps people that have issues with drugs and/or alcohol and want to make a positive change. We also support the family and friends of people who are worried about their loved ones substance use. The service is run by CGL, in partnership with Forward.

Who we help

Our service is for anyone over the age of 18 who lives in Hull and either has issues with drugs and/or alcohol or is impacted by the substance use of a loved one – even if your loved one isn’t ready to get help themselves.

How we help

The support we offer is tailored to each person’s needs, so will look slightly different for everyone. When you first get in touch, we’ll do an assessment with you to understand what will work for you, before putting together a plan of how we’ll work together.  Services offered include:

  • One-to-one and group support
  • A ‘day rehab’ programme for people who want structured support to become abstinent
  • A dedicated family and friends service
  • Help to detox
  • Support from peers who have been through similar experiences

We are unable to accept referrals for potential clients from friends and family members.

Important information

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, some of our services have moved online or are delivered by telephone.

As part of the treatment, ReNew offered the Family Ties Programme. This helped me to learn about the boundaries between addiction and my family and made me realise how my addiction affects others.
