Business Strategy (2024-2027); Forward’s three-year plan for improving services

The Forward Trust is pleased to share its new three-year business strategy, covering the period 2024-27, which sets out our direction for the coming years.

In order to progress the delivery of our mission, vision and values during this period, we have set out three strategic aims;

  1. Reach more people who need our support;
  2. Maximise the number of clients who make transformational changes; and
  3. Raise awareness of Forward’s work and beliefs among policymakers and the public, changing perceptions and influencing policy.

We will do this through a combination of strategies and objectives, including:

  • Winning new public sector contracts, and retaining existing contracts.
  • Constantly improving the quality of our service provision – in particular increasing the numbers of people who make transformational changes, and broadening access to underserved groups.
  • Campaigning for wider understanding of, and more compassion for, the challenges being faced by our clients.

It’s impossible to predict what external influences and changes will impact the work we do, however, we remain determined to respond to the growing need for the work we do, which intensifies daily, with complexity, at scales many people have not seen before.  We do not and will never accept minimum outcomes for the people we help. This is why you will see in the strategy a focus not only on the number of people we support but on how far we can help them to progress.
